Emergence occurs when a complex entity has properties or behaviors that its parts do not have on their own.
The Emergence Lamp is made of nine identical, simple curves that when connected end-to-end form a complex shape that is self supporting and incredibly strong.
The design of this lamp evolved through play and experimentation. Uri did not set out to make this shape, it was the natural result of connecting the curves he had at hand until the form closed and “rested” in this alluring shape.
